Sonnet to a Pilgrim SoulSonnet To A Pilgrim SoulSonnet to a Pilgrim Soul
When the sun gilds the sky in the morning
And deep darkness makes a noble retreat
O hear the music in the air fleeting
For you can never recapture the beat
When the morning spreads her warm golden wings
And the sapphire sky is wordlessly deep
Look yonder and feast with your eyes the things
Which you seldom see in your dreamful sleep
Don't you feel forlorn beloved pilgrim
If the world will mind your lowly a state
A time will come when their eyes will grow dim
And they too will fall on our self-same fate

Broken halosThey whisper to me of broken halos soft spoken, nonsensicle, daydreams. Dew drops of....something.Broken halos
They whisper to me of zietgiests throwing themselves into the currents. Laughing at the livestock pulling out their hair, Wild, free, flowing.
They whisper to me of angels tantalizing me. They speak only of the moment. And I stand nonplused, and sigh.
They whisper, they dance, they look into the hourglass. They live, they love, and martyrs they become.
Flowing with the currents they whipser only of broken halos.
Don't worry about not liking your own stuff...we poets are a soulfull bunch and I don't think there's a single one of us that's ever fully pleased with our own words. Just throw it out there, and see what everyone else says. Then, pretend like you believe them.
Thanks again!
